A sudden departure from the usual entrepreneurship posts on this blog: A news alert: get Tickets to see Cher in Las Vegas at the Caesar’s palace. She will be performing on stage at the colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. This is a brand new show and it will feature eighteen dancers. The show will debut on May 6 and run for a month, with four shows per week at 7:30 pm.

Some brief tidbits of history and background about her: Cher (Cherilyn Sarkisian) is considered the “Queen of Disco” and has had a career of more than forty years. To emphasize how incredibly long she has been singing, she quipped to someone, “As many of you know, I first started singing when Lincoln was president.”

Cher, who has always been a staunch democrat, has the distinction of being one of the most popular female music artists in the history of music. She is an anti-war activist, and demonstrated against the Vietnam War, believing that it was better to “Make Love, Not War.” She also had a very distinctive (and beautiful) style in clothing, incorporating eccentric gowns, bell bottoms and hippie-like attire. She is famous also for her many tattoos, which she began doing before it was popular in Hollywood.

In any case, her show will be the greatest! See you there!
