There are always those times when the car quits all of a sudden and you have to get to class, to work, or somewhere else where you need to be. Of course, no friend or relative has an extra car, and if you don’t go to work you’ll be canned. In those cases, it makes sense to get a car rental to take up the slack, which preserves your job, your GPA, or your relationships with your family. Or, there may be that vacation you are about to take to see grandma, and you want to take her out to see the city in a much more reliable car than she has.
